Lifestyle Newborn photography

Natural, relaxed, timeless photo sessions that take place in the comfort of your own home.

The first few days or weeks after coming home with a new baby, whether it is your first or fourth, can be a complete blur. You’re tired, you are finding your own rhythm. You spent the last nine months preparing for this baby and they are finally here! But, let’s face it, the very last thing you are going to want to do is pack up diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, blankets, clothing changes, burp clothes, etc., pile up in the car and head off to a photo studio. What if you forget that blanket that grandma crocheted or baby spits up on your dress? In-home newborn photography is the perfect way to capture baby’s first few days while still allowing you to rest, be comfortable as well as show off everything you have been busy nesting for the past few months.

Let me make it easy!

I suggest reaching out to me at least 2-3 months before your due date to make sure to reserve a spot on my calendar. When you book a newborn session with me, all the prep work is done before baby arrives leaving next to no stress the day of your session. We will discuss what baby items you should pull out, what areas in the house to tidy up and what absolutely not to worry about. I even have a wardrobe guide to help parents decide what to wear. You’ll have plenty of other things on your mind with a newborn and prepping for a photo session doesn’t need to be one of them.

While scheduling ahead of time makes it a bit easier, if you have just decided you want newborn photos and baby is already here - that’s ok, it’s not too late! I usually leave a couple spots a month open just in case.

What happens after the session?

Within about 10-14 days after the session, I will send an on-line gallery with downloadable high resolution digital images, all included with your session fee. You will have the option to purchase prints directly from the gallery or you can download them and have them printed wherever you like. That means grandparents can cover their walls in baby photos too!
